There’s not a bride in the world who doesn’t want to feel regally pampered for her big day.
So we were really thrilled to take part in a very special collaboration with one of the best salons in the UAE, Marquee – and the boutique events company Cloud 9 – to put together a bridal shoot that’s fit for a princess, entitled Versaille Romantisme.

The New Romance
Any bridal theme should be filled with romance – it’s all about a celebration of love, after all!
This special shoot took its inspiration from one of the most romantic places in the world, the palace and gardens of Versailles, from the city of love and light – Paris.
Think rich, sumptuous and ornate décor. Details that brim with luxury and finesse, and an atmosphere of otherworldly enchantment.
The mood board was inspired by the couture sewing techniques of the 19th century – with beautiful rose motifs, gleaming pearls, and swoon-worthy quilting designs. Dainty and delicious gourmet treats filled the tables, while luxurious gold beaded plates and cutlery were perfect to add that touch of regal opulence.
All in the detail
The lovely model who was the star of the shoot was transformed into a Mid Century French princess, with a graceful swept back low bun, expertly crafted by the wonderful talents at Marquee, and adorned with a wonderful garland of fresh gardenia flowers. A perfect look that could have come straight off the Reem Acra Bridal runway!
Next up – the all important dress! Reflecting the classical but luxurious nature of the theme, the dress captured all of the elements of the day – with exquisite handmade details, dramatic tulle sleeves, and intricate beadwork which must have taken several hours to complete! Needless to say – the result was the stuff of dreams.
Nails for a Princess
To complement the wonderfully stately look of this unique bridal shoot, we were quite excited to create a special palette of exclusive bridal nail art too! And for our very first bridal collection, we couldn’t have worked with a better creative team.
When you’re paying attention to every detail of your wedding – from the venue and floral arrangements, to your lingerie, you wouldn’t want to leave any aspect of your look as less than perfect, would you?
That’s why this collection brings together all the special hallmarks of the romantic theme, featuring a soft and delicate palette of blushing pink, barely-there nudes, and catwalk favourite – coral.
We started with a colour palette featuring soft, romantic hues – fluffy “Marshmallow” white, soft “Ballet Slipper” pink, and delicate coral tones that evoked the fresh buds of Spring.
All accented with subtle details that evoke the opulence, luxury and romance of the 19th century – with delicate pearls, quilting, embedded jewels, hand sculpted flowers and ombre.
Nails that are truly fit for a princess.
